Reasons why your completed sale might not show up on your account.

Updated over 4 years ago

Generally, sales can take a few days to show as retailers report sales to us. However, if you know a sale was completed but haven't seen it show up yet, there are a few reasons why:

The sales reporting window is still open.

Due to a retailer's window to account for returns and exchanges, all sales are initially reported as pending. It can take between 30 and 90 days for the pending amount to close.

The user used a cash back or coupon site during the purchase.

If your fan clicks on a coupon site or Ebates after they have clicked on your MagicLink, then you may not be credited with the sale or the commission. Browser add-ons like Honey, RetailMeNot, and Ebates can also override the tracking code in your MagicLinks.

There is a sale, holiday, or other event occurring that has increased the retail site activity.

When more traffic is directed to a retailer's site, it can take longer for sales or commissions to be credited to you.

If you are concerned that there is another reason your sale is not showing up, feel free to contact us. We'd be happy to help.
