Why isn't a completed sale showing up?

Reasons why your completed sale might not show up on your account.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Generally, sales can take a few days to show as retailers report sales to us. However, if you know a sale was completed but haven't seen it show up yet, there are a few reasons why:

The sales reporting window is still open.

Reported commissions may fluctuate throughout the month as retail partners report new sales, returns, and cancelled orders over a 30 to 120 day period. Payout terms by retailers must be finalized before commissions can be paid out on the 1st of the month.

The user used a cash back or coupon site during the purchase.

If your fan clicks on a coupon site or Ebates after they have clicked on your MagicLink, then you may not be credited with the sale or the commission. Browser add-ons like Honey, RetailMeNot, and Ebates can also override the tracking code in your MagicLinks.

There is a sale, holiday, or other event occurring that has increased the retail site activity.

When more traffic is directed to a retailer's site, it can take longer for sales or commissions to be credited to you.

The item is not commissionable.

Many larger retailers (Macy's, JCPenney, Nordstrom, etc) do have brands and/or product categories that are excluded from commission. You may view a brand's Gross Commission Rate in the Retailer Tab.
